Born just minutes from the city of Tequila, Miguel Sandoval grew up surrounded by the agave fields and distilleries that define the region. With over 20 years of experience in the U.S. beverage industry and a lifetime of connection to the tequila world, Miguel brings a unique blend of tradition and innovation to Almatitán. Raised by a former manager of one of the largest distilleries of his time, Miguel’s upbringing in one of the industry’s most influential factories laid the foundation for his lifelong passion for tequila.
At the core of Almatitán’s production is a longstanding relationship with the Montes Family, who will oversee the crafting of our tequila at the renowned La Roca Distillery. This partnership ensures that every bottle of Almatitán reflects the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Tino Sandoval, Miguel’s son, represents the next generation of tequila makers.
